The first 90 days

It sits on top of SEO, not instead of it, and uses many of the same primitives (schema, authority, freshness) tuned for extractive answers rather than blue links.
How is GEO different from classic SEO?
Classic SEO optimises for a ranked list of ten links; GEO optimises for a single synthesised answer with two or three citations. That changes what wins: shorter, cleanly-structured answers near the top of the page, machine-readable entity signals, published data and named authors carry more weight than raw word count or backlink volume.
Which engines matter most for Indian businesses in 2026?
Google AI Overviews first (largest surface, tied to organic rankings), ChatGPT second (dominant for research and B2B evaluation), Perplexity third (fast-growing among decision-makers).
